From Charlotte to Whitwell NAHMT Begins

Speedway Harley Davidson, the sponsor of the motorcycle that will be raffled off at the 2025 R2R has graciously offered to sponsor a breakfast for R2R attendees on Sunday, June 8th.  As a result, the first leg of the NAHMT will leave after breakfast from this location.  A nice 2-day ride is planned with total mileage being approximately 400 miles.  The first leg will take us from Charlotte to Maggie Valley on some nice back roads, where we will spend Sunday night. 

On Monday, those that would like to can spend a couple of hours going through the Wheels Through Time Museum which “is home to the world’s premier collection of rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinct array of unique “one-off” American automobiles. Located just 5 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Maggie Valley, North Carolina our museum houses a collection of over 300 rare machines.”. It’s a really cool museum.

Around noon or slightly after, we will depart Maggie Valley to Chattanooga, TN via a choice of routes.  One will take you to the Tail of the Dragon, and the other will be via the Cherohala Skyway.  Both are spectacular, fun roads.  We will stay in Chattanooga Monday night and first thing Tuesday morning, we will mount up and ride over the mountains for a program at the Whitwell “Paper Clips” museum, and you’ll get a chance to go through this amazing place.

Tuesday afternoon, depart for wherever home is for you.  It will be a great first leg of the NAHMT.
